18+ WEINWISSER: "68?% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30?% Merlot, 2?% Petit Verdot. Extrem dunkles Purpurgranat mit undurchsichtiger Mitte und lila Rand. Mächtiges Bouquet mit dunklen Edelhölzern, frischem Holundersaft und Brombeeren. Im zweiten Ansatz Lakritze, eine volle Ladung Cassis und dominikanischer Tabak. Am kräftigen Gaumen mit sehr verlangenden Gerbstoffen, engmaschiges Muskelpaket mit feinkörnigem Extrakt. Dieses Tannin-Monster will gezähmt werden, braucht Geduld, aber die Anlagen sind ganz gross. Kann noch zulegen!"

91-93 WINE ENTHUSIAST: "The wine is both fruity and bright, with brisk acidity that cuts the ripe black-currant flavor. Its attraction is the lift of freshness that is balanced by the fruitiness at the end."

92 DECANTER: "Increasingly consistent and impressive wines are emerging from this property. This 2018 takes quite a while to unfurl, showing its seriousness and desire to age. It´s a violet-edged wine in the glass, less effortless and exuberant than some but with beautifully handled extraction. The flavours have persistency and grip, with touches of slate and pepper giving a real show of minerality and spice. 33% new oak."

93-94 JAMES SUCKLING: "Wonderful aromas of blackcurrants and violets. Very fresh. Full-bodied, vivid and firm-textured. Very long and focused."

91-93 THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Inky in color, the nose pops with flowers, spice, black currant, tobacco leaf and espresso. Forward in style, the wine is medium bodied, supple, fresh and shows generosity in the ripe fruit filled finish. The wine was made from a blend of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot. You should age this for at least 5-7 years and enjoy it over the next 15-20 years with ease."
