|91-93 THE WINEADVOCATE: "Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2019 Corbin needs a little coaxing to reveal fresh, pure notes of crushed blackberries, black raspberries and black cherries plus hints of pencil lead, bay leaves, tilled soil, underbrush and fungi. Medium to full-bodied, that wonderful purity of crunchy black fruits continues on the palate, with an approachable frame of rounded tannins and seamless freshness, finishing on a fragrant earth note."
17 WEINWISSER: "90?% Merlot, 10?% Cabernet Franc, pH 3,68. Undurchsichtiges Purpur mit lila Rand. Opulentes Bouquet mit betörendem Veilchenduft, dahinter reife Pflaumen, schwarzer Bergpfeffer und Preiselbeersaft. Am komplexen Gaumen mit engmaschigem Körper, reifem Tannin und sandigem Extrakt, gute Balance. Im aromatischen, langanhaltenden Finale Holundergelee und Pflaumenhaut. Gut gelungen dieses Jahr!"
90-92 WINE ENTHUSIAST: "Ripe fruit and juicy acidity have come together in this dense wine. The tannins and the weight are an important part of its make up, giving richness and ripe fruit flavors."
93 DECANTER: "A slightly richer style of Corbin than we have seen in some recent vintages but it is entirely successful. Plum and blueberry flavours, well balanced with a juicy frame and mouthwatering finish. 40% new oak. New consultancy with Jean-Luc Thunevin. 80% 1st wine. A yield of 48hl/ha."
91-92 JAMES SUCKLING: "A red with plenty of ripe fruit with plum and chocolate character, as well as walnuts. Medium body. Sweet fruit and fine tannins."
90-92 ANTONIO GALLONI: " The 2019 Corbin has a tightly wound, estuarine tinged bouquet, hints of oyster shell and seaweed underlying the slightly smudged red fruit. The palate is saline on the entry and moderate in depth but with a fine thread of acidity that lends a bit of "zip" towards the savory finish. Maybe just a little excess toastiness here? Not bad at all though." - Neal Martin
93 THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "With loads of ripe, elegant, soft, dark, sexy plums, silky tannins, freshness and a fabulous mouth feel, this medium-bodied, finesse-driven wine is already fabulous to taste. This could be the finest vintage of Corbin produced yet. It will be beautiful to taste with just a few years of bottle age, and it will continue to develop and provide pleasure for at least another 15 years or so after that."
