91-93 THE WINEADVOCATE: "Opaque purple-black colored, the 2019 de la Huste bursts from the glass with gregarious scents of baked black cherries, warm blackberries and plum preserves plus hints of licorice, melted chocolate, spice cake and cinnamon stick with a waft of potpourri. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is a powerhouse of black fruits and savory flavors, framed by wonderfully ripe, rounded tannins and fantastic freshness, finishing long and perfumed."
92-93 JAMES SUCKLING: "Lots of blue fruit and black tea. Graphite, too. Medium to full body, firm tannins and a fresh finish. Compact and beautiful."
91-93 ANTONIO GALLONI: "The 2019 de la Huste has a little more opulence on the nose than its Fronsac stablemates, thereby losing just a little terroir expression by comparison. The palate is lively and fresh with very supple tannins. Harmonious and silky in texture, this is a beautifully crafted wine that is going to give perhaps more immediate pleasure than its peers, but will last 15-20 years. Excellent." - Neil Martin
90-92 ANTONIO GALLONI: "The 2019 de la Huste is absolutely delicious. Inky dark fruit, chocolate, licorice, dark spice and sweet French oak give the 2019 much of its flamboyant character. The 2019 is not an especially complex wine, but it is incredibly appealing."
91-93 JEB DUNNUCK: "Another rocking Fronsac in 2019, the 2019 Château De La Huste has a great perfume of violets, flowery incense, blueberries, and cassis. With medium-bodied richness, ripe, silky tannins, and terrific balance, as well as mid-palate depth, it´s beautifully done and will evolve for a solid decade or more."
