|90-92 FALSTAFF: "Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zart kräuterwürzig, dunkle Beerenfrucht, ein Hauch von Edelholz, etwas verhaltenes Bukett. Mittlerer Körper, rotbeeriger Touch, frisch strukturiert, feine Brombeerfrucht, Kirschtouch, mineralischer Touch, ein vielseitiger Speisenbegleiter."
93 DECANTER: "Violet, juicy and solidly constructed, this has a ton of black fruits with edges of liquorice and black chocolate - it is sappy with plenty of intensity and a coffee edge on the finish. Yields of 50hl/ha and yet there is no compromise on the intensity when you compare to some of the smaller yields that you find in the vintage, Hubert de Boüard consultant. Owned by the Meslin family. Malbec and Petit Verdot also planted in the vineyard. Drinking Window 2026 - 2040"
93-94 JAMES SUCKLING: "A firm, nicely formed 2020 with fine, energetic tannins and plenty of blackberry and minerally character. Medium-to full-bodied. Racy."
91-93+ ANTONIO GALLONI: "The 2020 Laroze is dark and supple, offering dark cherry, plum, mocha, rose petal and cedar. Soft and open-knit, with gentle curves and silky tannins, Laroze has a ton to offer. Best of all, it will drink well with minimal cellaring."
92-94 THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Plums, spicy black raspberries and flowers fill the nose. Medium-bodied, silky, long and fresh, with an elegant, dark plum and spicy chocolate finish that lingers. I really like the energy, sweetness and length in this vintage."
91-93 JEB DUNNUCK: "The 2020 Château Laroze should be outstanding, and it excels in the vintage. Giving up pretty notes of red and blue fruits as well as cedary spice and flowers, it’s medium-bodied amd has a nicely textured mouthfeel, light tannins, and impeccable balance. It’s another wine that has good richness while just gliding over the palate with no sensation of weight."
