|90-92+ THE WINEADVOCATE: "The 2019 Taillefer casts a deep garnet-purple color, revealing fragrant plum preserves, blueberry compote and mulberries scents with suggestions of licorice, iris and chargrill. The medium to full-bodied palate is softly textured and well-poised, featuring gentle black fruit and savory layers, finishing on a mineral note."
92 FALSTAFF: "Dunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Süße Pflaumenfrucht, ein Hauch von Dörrfeigen, zarte Kräuterwürze, ein Hauch von Nougat. Mittlere Komplexität, süße Kirschen, reife Tannine, schokoladiger Touch im Abgang, bereits gut entwickelt."
90-92 WINE ENTHUSIAST: "A ripe, softly textured wine showing plenty of ripe Merlot, the structure is already integrated into the juicy, full black fruits. It is warm, ripe and ready for medium-term aging."
90 DECANTER: "Enjoyable Taillefer with supple tannins and plenty of fruits. One of the earlier drinking Pomerols, no need to wait more than two or three years to get going on this wine, and you´ll be rewarded with fleshy blackberry, coffee beans and gentle spice."
91-92 JAMES SUCKLING: "Shows a solid core of ripe fruit with some loam and chocolate undertones. It’s full-bodied with round tannins and a juicy finish."
90-92 ANTONIO GALLONI: "The 2019 Taillefer takes a few minutes to settle in the glass, eventually revealing black cherries, smoke and truffle aromas. I actually prefer the palate that has good grip, plenty of substance with a touch of black pepper on the aftertaste. If the aromatics muster more refinement it will land at the top of my banded score." - Neil Martin
