So früh wie seit Jahren nicht mehr, kam soeben 2023 CHATEAU MOUTON ROTHSCHILD nebst Zweitwein 2023 LE PETIT MOUTON auf den Markt. Der Preis für den Grand Vin wurde um sage und schreibe 37% reduziert, der Preis des Zweitweins 2023 LE PETIT MOUTON liegt unter dem Preisniveau des Jahrganges 2019. Wir hatten zweimal die Gelegenheit, die gesamte Palette aller Weine auf dem Familiengut Chateau Clerc Milon gemeinsam mit PHILIPPE SEREYS DE ROTHSCHILD zu verkosten. Ersehen Sie nachfolgend die Bewertungen, die durchweg auf sehr hohem Niveau sind und unsere euphorischen persönlichen Eindrücke mehr als bestätigen. Chalky undertone, coming from the limestone terroir here. 72% cabernet sauvignon, 19% merlot, 6.5% cabernet franc, 1.5% carmenere and 1% petit verdot."

JAMES SUCKLING: "A very pure and beautiful HBL with blackcurrant and mineral notes, like crushed stones, as well as a vivid freshness. Purity and brightness in the center-palate, with essence of cassis and a crunchy minerality from part of the vineyard in limestone. 86% cabernet sauvignon and 14% merlot. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification."

JAMES SUCKLING: "A lively and fleshy red with a medium body, good structure and velvety tannins. It has vibrant fruit and a bright, lightly chewy finish."

Wir hatten die Gelegenheit, die gesamte Range aller Weine zweimal verkosten zu können, mit Saskia de Rothschild persönlich auf deren Pomerol Dependance Chateau L`Evangile zu sprechen und können Ihnen nur eines sagen, wir sind restlos begeistert. Sehen Sie sich einmal die Bewertungen an, wenn da das Herz eines Bordeaux-Trinkers nicht höher schlägt. Ebenso 2023 CARRUADES DE LAFITE ist mit dem 2019er Preis-und Bewertungen bis zu 96 Punkten hochinteressant.
Chateau Lafite Rothschild - Carruades de Lafite 2023

JAMES SUCKLING: "A savory and juicy Carruades with softness and notes of ripe berry, cedar and dried tobacco. Like Lafite from the 1980s but more precise. Round and pretty. It really grows on the finish with such sweetness of fruit and length. Pointed, fine tannins at the end. Very long. A blend of 60% cabernet sauvignon and 40% merlot."

JEB DUNNUCK: "Smoky black fruits, lead pencil, chocolate, and some gravelly earth notes all shine in the 2023 Château Fonbadet, a medium to full-bodied, concentrated Pauillac offering plenty of mid-palate density and depth, ripe tannins, and a great finish. This estate flies too far under the radar – they're making some brilliant wines today that merit attention."

JAMES SUCKLING: "There is a really pretty, powdery-tannin texture to this, with dark-berry and currant character. Some orange peel, too. It’s full and layered with a sense of precision and focus. Framed and open-grained in the texture. Velvety. Real Pauillac personality here. 70% cabernet sauvignon, 20% merlot and 10% cabernet franc. May be better than 2022."
Chateau Mouton Rothschild - Le Petit Mouton 2023

JAMES SUCKLING: "This is a tighter and more compact Petit Mouton with a full-bodied, compact palate that is framed nicely by the tannins. Savory and juicy. Structured. Contained. 79% cabernet sauvignon, 12% merlot, 7% cabernet franc and 2% petit verdot. Better than 2022?"
Chateau Mouton Rothschild - Aile d´Argent Blanc 2023
Pauillac
JAMES SUCKLING: "The density and beauty to this is so attractive, with a lush and flavorful character, yet it’s neatly framed by acidity and minerally undertones. Lively and salty. Part of the vineyard is on limestone, which gives that sea-salt undertone. Savory. Fresh at the end. 50% sauvignon blanc, 44.5% semillon, 5% sauvignon gris and 0.5% muscadelle."
